Dear Adams Families,

Welcome to another exciting school year! We are thrilled to have your students back with us and extend a warm welcome to those joining our Adams community for the first time. As we embark on this new journey together, we reflect upon the progress and achievements of our students over the past year.

We are proud to share that our students demonstrated growth in both their academic and social skills. Last year, we witnessed their dedication and hard work, which translated into improvements in their learning. Furthermore, their enhanced social skills and interactions have contributed to a positive and inclusive school environment. We commend each and every student for their dedication and resilience.

In line with our commitment to holistic development, this year we are continuing some exciting initiatives:

1. Daily Social Emotional Checks via PBIS Rewards: We will be implementing daily check-ins to ensure that our students' social and emotional well-being remains a top priority.

2. Optimistic Closure: Our students will have the opportunity to reflect on their lessons and learning experiences, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for their educational journey.

3. Reflective Discourse: Through guided discussions, we will help students make informed decisions and understand the impact of those decisions, fostering responsible and thoughtful behavior.

4. Teach the Adams Way: Our students will continue to practice being safe, respectful, and responsible members of our school community, promoting a culture of kindness and empathy.

5. Writing:  We will provide common grade-level graphic organizers and rubrics to support students in their writing endeavors, enhancing their communication skills.

6. Modeling Metacognition: Encouraging open conversations among students and teachers about learning strategies will empower students to develop effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support in nurturing your child's education. Your active involvement is invaluable and contributes significantly to their success.

As we begin this new academic year, let us embrace the challenges and opportunities it brings with enthusiasm. Together, as a united Adams community, we will continue to inspire and guide our students towards excellence.

Estimadas Familias de Adams,

¡Bienvenidos a otro emocionante año escolar! Estamos encantados de tener a sus estudiantes de regreso con nosotros y extendemos una cálida bienvenida a aquellos que se unen a nuestra comunidad de Adams por primera vez. Mientras emprendemos juntos este nuevo viaje, reflexionamos sobre el progreso y los logros de nuestros estudiantes durante el año pasado.

Nos enorgullece compartir que nuestros estudiantes demostraron crecimiento tanto en sus habilidades académicas como sociales. El año pasado, fuimos testigos de su dedicación y esfuerzo, que se tradujeron en mejoras en su aprendizaje. Además, sus habilidades sociales mejoradas y las interacciones han contribuido a un ambiente escolar positivo e inclusivo. Felicitamos a cada uno de los estudiantes por su dedicación y resiliencia.

En línea con nuestro compromiso con el desarrollo integral, este año continuamos con algunas iniciativas emocionantes:

1. Chequeos Socioemocionales Diarios a través de PBIS Rewards: Implementaremos registros diarios para asegurarnos de que el bienestar social y emocional de nuestros estudiantes siga siendo una prioridad principal.

2. Cierre Optimista: Nuestros estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de reflexionar sobre sus lecciones y experiencias de aprendizaje, fomentando una comprensión más profunda y aprecio por su trayectoria educativa.

3. Discurso Reflexivo: A través de discusiones guiadas, ayudaremos a los estudiantes a tomar decisiones informadas y comprender el impacto de esas decisiones, fomentando un comportamiento responsable y reflexivo.

4. Enseñar a la Manera Adams: Nuestros estudiantes seguirán practicando ser miembros seguros, respetuosos y responsables de nuestra comunidad escolar, promoviendo una cultura de amabilidad y empatía.

5. Escritura: Proporcionaremos organizadores gráficos y rúbricas comunes para cada nivel de grado para apoyar a los estudiantes en sus esfuerzos de escritura, mejorando sus habilidades de comunicación.

6. Modelar la Metacognición: Fomentar conversaciones abiertas entre estudiantes y profesores sobre estrategias de aprendizaje empoderará a los estudiantes para desarrollar habilidades efectivas de resolución de problemas y pensamiento crítico.

Queremos expresar nuestro sincero agradecimiento por su apoyo inquebrantable en el cuidado de la educación de su hijo. Su participación activa es invaluable y contribuye significativamente a su éxito.
